7 For All Mankind, or simply Seven Jeans, is a brand of designer jeans based in Los Angeles

, California. The company was started by Michael Glasser, Peter Koral and Jerome Dahan in 2000. The company began designing women's jeans and didn't release a men's line until 2002, two years later. In 2005 they further expanded their denim reaches by introducing a boys and girls denim collection. The company now also makes shorts, skirts and denim jackets.

After years of work in the industry, the company began as a way to fill the void that Glasser and Dahan saw in the denim market. Their fabric, fit and attention to detail made them a giant success in the women's jeans industry. The company actually popularized the low rise and tight fit that is commonplace in the fashion world today. In addition, they are one of the companies that brought distressed denim back into fashion. Distressed denim is denim that is manufactured with intentional holes, rips, or stains in an attempt to make the clothes appear vintage or previously worn. The distressed denim along with their LA headquarters has made the company popular in the celebrity and young, hip adult crowd.

Each fashion season sees new changes in the world of 7 For All Mankind clothes. On all their pants they feature the signature squiggle logo on the back pocket. Other pairs, such as the A-pocket jean, contains an "A" stitched on the pocket and sometimes includes the incorporation of Swarovski Crystals. The Dojo consists of a "7" on the pocket while the Kate features a "V" like embroidery. Additionally, fits and washes including the Medium Chicago, New York Dark and Bombay add extra flair to the jeans. There are many other subtle changes depending on the season and the style of pant.

With all the success from their denim, Seven Jeans has since branched into unknown territory such as sportswear, outer wear, women's dresses and woven shirts for men.

It is clear that this company has helped make jeans a staple of female and male wardrobes once again. As they continue to expand it seems they have the power to bring a variety of other staples back.
