. You will find that there are some types of nurses that you can find. But, registered nurse is a type of nurse that is the most appreciated, most flexible and most advance nurse that you can find. If you want to become a registered nurse, there are many things that you must do to get the degree.

Getting your BSN is the first thing that you should think about when you want to become a registered nurse. You will need 4-year study to get this degree with prerequisite coursework that include general education and science classes such as anatomy, biology, chemistry and psychology.

Taking the Nurse Program Entrance Exam is the second thing that you should do in order to make you be able to enter the core nursing program. You should be prepared for this exam. For the exam, you can take Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) or Nursing Entrance Test (NET). You will find that the test will measure your ability in English, math, science and other. If you pass the test, you can start the nursing curriculum.

Finishing your BSN program is the third thing that you should do to teach you the advanced medical subjects such as patient care, pathology and other subjects that you will need for your career. Also, you will earn about health care planning, medical administration and medical management. To finish the program, you will need 2-3 years.


Doing a clinical partnership is the next thing that you should do for some weeks or months. In this clinical partnership, you will work under supervisor in a health care facility. You will find that your performance during the partnership will be counted for your overall grade. You may find your job in your partnership so that you do have to look for a job when you have graduated.

Taking the NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses) test is the last thing that you should do to make sure that you have absorbed your training and are ready to become a registered nurse. This test is administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN). If you pass the test, you are allowed to practice in the state which you are licensed. But, you can move to another state, you should have the license from that state. Then, you can try to find a job as a registered nurse in the place that needs you.
