When it comes to sex offenders registry you should know that not all sex offenders will register themselves when they move
. There are so many sex offenders it is hard to be able to keep up with all of them. SO when they move the law can not keep up with where they move to and arrest them if they do not register themselves within a certain time.Sex offenders are people who have either been in jail or been in prison for violation of a law against a child. This usually includes molesting a child that is under age and also raping a child that is under age. Most people think that sex offenders are limited to just men, but these can also be women.
Years ago a female teacher was arrested because she was having sexual relations with one of her male students. This woman went to prison for what she did even though the child was in consent. According to the law, children who are under a certain age can not decide for themselves. And besides this, adults should not have the desire to sleep with young children.
This is a sick thing and I wish that sex offenders would be put away somewhere. However some of them are not at fault because it could be a male that is eighteen that is dating a female that is sixteen and if her parents do not agree with them seeing each other then the male can very well be charged with statutory rape and end up having to register as a sex offender.
In some states if a female is at least sixteen years of age then they can have the consent no matter how old the man is. This is not a good thing because older men and women can be convincing to a young person. I personally think it is disgusting that older men and women want to sleep with such young children.
As a mother I do not know how I would feel if a sex offender was living near my home. I probably would be scared and I would have to research everything about them that I could. I also would not let my child be outside alone or get on the bus without my supervision.
Sex offenders are not allowed to live with in a certain amount of feet from a school or day care and I think this is wonderful because they should not be anywhere where they can get to any children. If you ever want to look at the sex offenders registry you can look it up online and if all else fails and you can not find it then you can look at your local court house.
As a new parent with a small child I personally would like to know where and who all the sex offenders are around the area that I am living. Your best bet is to make sure of who is living close to you especially if you have small children or any children at all.
