"[The show] is going to have themes and there'll be a lot of audience interaction," she said to Contact Music. "My live show will have a lot of that, a lot of dancing, a joie de vivre...I like to see everybody's faces on stage, to see the reaction. Normally you can only see the front row because of the lights." For those lucky enough to catch Shakira's festival performance at Glastonbury, she guarantees it will be much of the same vibe, explaining her goals to Daily Star. "There are also going to be other moments that I hope are artistically energetic," she said. "I want to feel things up close." The live energy will be brought to life thanks to theatre director Felix Barrett.

She Wolf appeared in November 2009 and marks Shakira's third English set, a version that mixes electronica with a broad international presence. The album's title track and "Loba" hit the Billboard charts, giving mainstream audiences infectious dance beats.

Shakira's talent comes from years of practice. She was out-singing her peers in elementary school and perfecting her dance moves during belly dancing classes as a teen, gaining a three-album record deal with Sony Music at 14. Her first album was released in 1991, with her sophomore release Peligro two years later. Though neither album's gave her major fame in Latin America, with the release of 1995's Pies Descalzos and an appearance at Chile's Vina del Mar International Song Festival, she was on her way.

Her fourth album, Donde Estan Los Ladrones, gained an international audience, even those from non-Spanish speaking countries, with singles like "Ciega, Sordomuda," "Moscas En La Casa," "No Creo" and "Ojos Asi." The first Spanish MTV Unplugged featured the Latina star, earning her a Grammy Award and international star at the MTV Video Music Awards. Shakira turned to Gloria Estefan for her first crossover album, Laundry Service, featuring the hits "Whenever, Wherever," and "Underneath Your Clothes." After a year in English speaking markets, Laundry Service went triple platinum as fans fell in love with her hip-shaking moves and melodic vocals.

After an extensive tour, Shakira put together 60 singles in both English and Spanish that made up the albums Fijacion Oral, Vol. 1 and Oral Fixation, Vol. 2. Though the sales were good, they exploded when the record label rereleased the album with the new track "Hips Don't Lie," a Billboard Hot 100 favorite that helped push English version to the top. In 2008 she signed a 10-year contract with Live Nation, began working with various charities and collaborated with Luis F. Ochoa, Wyclef Jean and RedOne for 2009's She Wolf.
