Shannon Elizabeth, who's full name is Shannon Elizabeth Fadal

, was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Waco, Texas. As a child Shannon's favorite interest was tennis, and at one point it was actually her goal to be a professional tennis player. Before having an acting career, Shannon was also a successful model.

Over the years, Elizabeth has become very well known for her roles in such films as American Pie in the late 90s, and various other movies like Scary Movie, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Tomcats.

In addition to movie roles, Elizabeth also starred in a short series on UPN called "Cuts", and also made several appearances on "That 70's Show".

With less focus on her acting, movie and modeling careers, Shannon Elizabeth is finding time for her other passions in life, such as poker and helping homless animals.

Shannon likes to describe her passion of poker as her "second career", and is often noted as "one of the the leading celebrity poker players". If you frequent Las Vegas, you may find Elizabeth sitting as your poker table, as she visits nearly three times per month. In January 2006, Shannon Elizabeth beat out 83 other celebrities and professionals to take home the $55,000 cash prize, and has also cahed out four time in the World Series of Poker in 2006 and 2007, but busting out before making it to the final time.

Elizabeth's love for animals is also a clear passion. "Animal Avengers" was founded by Elizabeth and her ex-husband to promote responsible pet guardianship and prevent animal abuse. In addition to many fundraising events, Team Bodog raised over $50,000 for Shannon's Animal Avengers in a celebrity poker event.

In recent new, Shannon Elizaveth was a cast member on the show "Dancing with the Stars" in April 2008. She would then go on to date her partner from the show, but would brake up in 2009.

With everything going on in Shannon Elizabeth's life, it's clear that she isn't your average celebrity, and does a lot for the world around her. Next time you see Shannon in a TV show or movies, you will think about all the good things she's done, instead of just the role she is playing.
