If your business is in the greater Phoenix, Arizona area and needs some internet

access from an internet service provider or ISP, the process has become extremely easy due to all the high speed internet access for businesses that are now offered. But there are some questions that you do need to decide on before shopping for a provider.

Where to Start

First, you need to decide what type of service you want and currently in the Phoenix area, as well as almost any city in Arizona your business should be able to get any service that you need. Does some simple research on internet services before you start as all internet connections are not the same. Bandwidth

This type connection works through your television cable so you need to see if your building or office space has cable television. The speed although faster than a DSL service is still at the lower end of speed and can handle the same number of users that DSL can.

Fiber Connection

Fiber connection is the newest connection for the Arizona area and no matter where you are located in any of the towns such as Tempe or Scottsdale; you should be able to get this type of connection. This is part of the new push to get every community high speed internet access. Monthly cost usually runs from $70 to $200 and can handle up to 24 users at the same time.

Installation fees and Equipment

You also should ask about the hardware that you will need. Some of the providers will furnish you very little more than a basic modem while others might give you a gateway that includes the router with Ethernet ports, wireless router, protection with a firewall and might even throw in anti-virus protection. These are things that you will need to ask about.

Some ISPs will provide free installation and activation while others might waive the fees if you agree to sign a contract with them for a specific length of time. These fees usually run about $100 to $200.
