Should You Be Able To Make Money Blogging?

Even though the purists disapprove of people making money from their blogs

, and that it should be more about the content, they have an uphill battle. There are many people who do Make Money Blogging, and they justify it by the fact they are acting as an information source, and deserve some recompense for the time spent doing so. The difference between those who make money, and those who don't is down to the fact that a lot of people are just too lazy.

A lot of people fail in their attempt to profit from blogging. This is mainly because they do not put any effort into it. They feel all they have to do is put a lot of adverts on a page, and pop some content in the middle, and the money will come rolling in.

Obviously you do need advertising on your blog page, but unless you have visitors to your blog, nobody is going to see the advert in the first place. People can be lazy when it comes to the advertising side of monetizing their blogs. All they do is put up a few adsense blocks, and a few relevant affiliate adverts, and leave it at that.

But first of all you need blog traffic. If you do not want to spend any money advertising that you exist, you have got to write excellent, and interesting, articles on topics that will draw people in. So how do you get your blog noticed, one of the most powerful ways is if you find any news that relates to the genre that the blog is about, traffic will start to arrive, and everybody loves breaking news.

Right, you have the basis of a plan to get traffic, now you need to monetize your site. There are simple ways that you can put into action quite quickly, and there are methods that are best suited to blogs that have been around a while. If you are a beginner, the easiest way is to use Google adsense, or affiliate marketing. The more experienced can attempt to sell advertising space on their site, or even sell site branded products.

Adsense, as was mentioned earlier, is the easiest way to start. And it is easy to set up. And you will get a token income from the people who do click through the adverts. But there is a way to get these adverts to be more profitable. But first you must understand how adsense works, and why those adverts are on your site.

The Google adverts relate to the words that are on the page they appear. Now all the people who pay Google to place these adverts pay so much for certain keywords or key phrases, and if these appear their advert is displayed. But these keywords and phrases are charged at different amounts, and you will only receive a percentage of what the advertisers pay Google.

Now, by using a little basic mathematics, you must realize that you want the adverts that cost the most to be displayed on your site. That way your income will increase. After finding the high paying keywords in your niche, you have to find a way of incorporating them into your content. But you can't just use any old high-paying keyword, it must relate to the content, or to the whole nature of the blog.
