There are twelve different districts in Taipei and they fall under the jurisdiction of the national government. With a population of over two and half million people, the city is a real information center and there are many businesses that attract travelers from all over the world. You will find plenty of accommodation options here as the city is rich in hotels.


You must try the local cuisine while in Taipei. There are many places to see in Taipei, such as the National Palace Museum where you can admire the largest Chinese art collection on the entire planet. Taipei is a well developed city, with most households equipped with a computer with have broadband connection. The cultural life here is quite amazing, which is why so many people come here to experience it first hand.

Located in the northern part of the country, Taipei can be reached in many ways: by train as it is an important railway hub, by an airplane because it has a domestic airport, or by car.

The area where Taipei is located offers beautiful scenery as it is surrounded by mountains. However, be aware that the weather can be quite humid and summers are quite hot. Winters are cold on the other hand although very short.
