Significance Of Matrimony

1.Reproduction As God deliberately made man out of the dust and woman out of man

, this tells us that a woman is always and will always be a part of man. And together they were blessed by God to be fruitful and increase in number, to fill the world and rule over and handle all other creatures (Genesis 1:27-28).

Part of God's plan for human is for us to procreate morally. We do nuptials because this is moral, and this is God's plan. As God conducted the first wedding in the garden of Eden, we are also here to witness the same kind of blessings to our beloved religious sect.

Any kind of sexual relationship that is without the blessing of wedding or is outside the boundaries of marriage is immorality, a sin, and a kind of wickedness. We do marriage to acquire the blessing of God and of men, for us to procreate morally and righteously.

2.Pleasure God planned marriage and sexual activity not only for reproduction but also for pleasure. He gave an unexplainable pleasure for humanity whenever we pursue in sexual relationships. But such pleasures is always and will always be limited when we do it outside the boundaries of marriage.

God wants us to savor sexual relationship only with our spouse. As I already have said in some sermons about marital relationship that I have delivered about marriage, everytime we have sexual relationship with our partner, even the angels are rejoicing with us. But doing it outside our marriage, whether it is in the kind of promiscuousness or extra marital relationship, it is devil who will be rejoicing with us.

3.Proportionate Aid Marriage or matrimony is the union of two individuals, man and woman. These people voluntarily agreed with each other to live together, have sexual union, have connubial properties, and have equal rights with each other.

Aside from this, both parties will also have their plight with one another to be with each other, and to love and to treasure, for better and for worst, for sickness and health, for richer and for poorer, until death do they part. The idea is, they will be helping each other in whatever situation.

4.Pure Motives Marriage should be accompanied by pure motives. God designed marriage to be of pure motives. God did not designed marriage on the basis of wealth or popularity and all the more for citizenship. Rather, God designed it for two individuals to be faithful and to hold each other in whatever situation.

God wants our faithfulness, and God wants us to be faithful with our partner. God wants us to share our love and best aim to our partner.
