Did you ever wonder what's the simplest fix for most computer related issues? If yes I have a quick answer for you its restart. Basic computer restart can correct a big selection of problems such as internet and network connection problems. To do so you simply press start on windows machines in the left bottom corner of the screen followed by the restart button. It works because all of the active services on your laptop get restarted. This way if there is a short-term problem with computer it will get fixed instantly.

Defragmentation is advantageous and relevant to file systems on electromechanical disk drives .The movement of the hard drive's read/write heads over different areas of the disk when accessing fragmented files is slower, compared to accessing the entire contents of a non-fragmented file sequentially without moving the read/write heads to seek other fragments."

Now that you understand what Defragmentation does you do it by.

1) Click on my computer

2) Select the partition of the hard drive you want defragment

3) Right click it with your mouse

4) Select properties

5) Click on tools

6) Defragment Now

7) Select Partition

8) Defragment Now

Depending on the health and speed of your hard drive it can take from minutes to hours. You may experience a very big improvement in your computer performance.
