Small Business Strategies Should Include Video Marketing of Your Brand

If you think using video to market your company isn't something you need to do, think again. According to ComScore a market research firm, over 83 percent of all Internet users in the United States watched a video on the Web in January. That's around 171,000,000 people. In their online videos rankings they found that the average length of a video was around five minutes and the videos with advertising content on them had 24 seconds of these hated commercials.

So you think some of those 171 million viewers might possibly be a prospect for what you have to offer? Is this a market you want to ignore just because you nothing about producing videos? I hope not. Because videos are about the easiest thing you can do as long as you don't over do it.

Online viewers aren't looking for perfection, they are looking for natural content. Real people want to watch real people, flub ups and all. When they want perfection they turn to their televisions. Super bowl ads bring in millions and they are perfect, but a natural small time video made by you can do wonders for your business. Google knew this when they bought YouTube and you should know it too. Yes there a lot of really bad videos on YouTube but there a many really good ones.

Google now owns the video market since acquiring YouTube. In January they had over 140 million unique views on YouTube. And get this, those 140+ million viewers watched more than 1.9 billion videos. ComScore said nation wide there were 4.9 billion watched videos and Google owns 1.9 billion of them. That's impressive. Understanding these numbers doesn't require an advanced degree in statistics just an appreciation for numbers. And videos have the numbers.

If you haven't already go open your YouTube account and set up your own channel for your company or brand. This isn't hard and only takes a few minutes. You can do custom graphics and logos but you don't need any of that to start. You'll need a camera, mic, remote and tripod and some movie making software and a place to shoot. Less than $300 and your in business.

Once you start uploading to YouTube you can then download them to your own Website and Facebook. Your clients and customers are everywhere. Promote your videos using Twitter and Linked In. But there are many other sites that you can upload to. Do a little research and get your brand on video and get on-line.

Apple has iTunes and they have video capabilities that can help you take your brand to another level also. YouTube is easier to start with but as you gain proficiency look into iTunes.
