For every hour of charging is enough to power around 5-10 minutes of talk time. The reliability of this solar powered cell phone will depend on the availability of sunlight.
It may not be a popular smart phone but crest solar comes with several features such as MP3 ringtones, FM radio, games and as flashlight. It also has some unique features like mobile tracker that will automatically prompt the owner in case the SIM card is changed by sending an SOS message.

Solar powered smart phone is now also available with the advancement made by Chinas Umeox Mobile. The unit is called Apollo.It is the first of its kindpowered by solar energy. It has only few smart phone features like 3.2 touch screen and with an Android 2.2 operating system.
Solar Powered Computer
Computers can be connected to solar panels in order to draw its power from the sun. This method has already been done years ago. But a computer with embedded solar panels to harness the solar energy is a different thing.

Simmtronics is the pioneer in launching the desktop computer powered by solar power. The computer consumes minimal energy that is helpful in reducing carbon emissions in the environment.
The desktop PC can function for up to 4 days without sunlight after it has stored enough energy in the solar panels.
Samsung
Samsung also announced its first computer powered by the sun. The Samsung NC215S netbook is also considered the first of its kind. Instead of connecting it to solar panels, the PV cells are already embedded in its lid.
The Samsung netbook requires around 2 hours of being exposed to sunlight to make the computer operate for at least an hour. It is designed to use in direct sunlight so that you will not run out of juice while working on the computer.
