People are a herd, and there are few truly original Halloween costume ideas
. If you don't mind getting a little crazy, here are some costume ideas that you've probably never seen before. Just a little heads up: many of these ideas aren't PG-13.
The old tried and true child and child molester, better for two dudes who are friends, one taller one shorter.
A piece of shit. Wear an all brown outfit. Then carefully glue peanuts and corn to yourself.
Abraham Lincoln. Hardly original, but when someone really takes the time to do Abe right, with a good looking beard and a real suit, it's always a cool costume. Especially if you have a midget friend who goes as Mini Lincoln.
Brittany Spears gone wild. Saw a girl at a party who shaved half her head, and had a t-shirt on that said, "You Drive Me Crazy." That wasn't a typo. She shaved half her head, like a not so sane mental patient. Yeah, I know, that was redundant. This girl went all in on her Halloween costume, you have to respect that.
Monica Lewinsky, another classic costume. All you need is a blue dress drizzled with some white fluid. Saw one girl who actually did it with authentic fluid, and walked around with a blue crime scene flashlight.
A great costume I saw was Dick Cheney wearing BCGs. That is, camouflage. A perfect encapsulation of his hypocrisy.
Another great costume I saw one time is Halliburton man. The guy made a superhero costume out of the logo.
Hannibal the Cannibal is the most memorable character of modern literature, of books written since the 1950s or so. That is always a can't miss costume.
Another costume I saw was Tiger Woody. He had a small kid's golf club protruding from his pants in the crotch region. It was hilarious. The next night he just hung this huge fake penis from his pants and carried a golf club around.
This gorgeous large breasted girl went as a nun, but dressed very revealingly. It was simple, but definitely a thought provoking costume.
A well done Viking costume is really cool, but rarely done, perhaps because everyone thinks it is generic. You need to be large and muscular to pull it off.
A truly realistic and authentic Indian costume is really a show stopper. It offends some native Americans, but is also very educational.
Saw a guy go as Al Gore. He taped the patent for the internet to his back, wore a fuel meter necklace, and spoke in long boring robotic monotones all night. Hilarious.
Gene Simmons from Kiss is timeless costume. Seeing someone go all out with it can simply never get old. Not ever. Period.
The tear-drop headed grey ET is being worn by more and more people, but frankly sucks. Don't succumb to it.
The Star Trek thing will never get old, if done by non-nerds, if there is a good Spock, and actually the whole crew so they can do sarcastic mockeries together. The two redshirted guys that always die are mandatory.
If you're single and non-nerdy, one of the best costumes is a Jedi. Wave your hand at some hot chick, and try the Jedi mind trick on her. You find me devilishly handsome and will take me home with you. It may take hundreds of tries and dozens of tries, but eventually you'll find a woman weak minded enough to succumb to it.
