The blind installation on vinyl window is basically the same as blind installation on other materials such as metal and wood. The following are some steps to hang blinds on a vinyl window.
One: determine the hanging position
The right blind hanging position will also determine the result of your window treatment. Another important thing you need to consider to get the best result of window treatment is sizing. Make sure that your blind has been cut accordingly to fit the size of your window.
Two: mount the hanging brackets in the position you have determined
Whether you want to hang your blind inside mount, outside mount, or ceiling mount, you have to mount the hanging brackets in the right position. Mount them in the position which let the crews sink into the wall studs. Then, mark the bracket holes positions with a pencil. To place the bracket in the right position, you can use a tape measure. Then, secure them into their right position by using a drill.
Three: add valance clips to head rail
Before placing the blind to the brackets, you have to make sure that you have added valance clips to head rail. Slide the head rail into brackets and close the clips of the retainer to secure the head rail in place.
Four: connect the wand to a louver tilt mechanism
This mechanism is needed for your blind to be opened and closed. Make sure that the blind can operate properly by opening and closing the louvers.
Five: decide a position for mounting the cord cleat
Secure the cord cleat to the place you have decided with screws by using a drill. Keep the cord out of the way by wrapping the blind cord near the cord cleat. Then, conceal the head rail by attaching the valance to valance clips.
