Predominant elements of these movies include creature from outer space namely known as aliens, souls, ghosts, curses, demons, gore, vicious animals, flesh-eaters, serial killers, robots, torture, vampires, werewolves, and giants. They strategies within the horror genre of an evil event, force, commonly of supernatural cause into the everyday world. Good horror movies have progressed far from the origins with notable trends and styles that creates the assorted genre is "Horror" today.

Why do we like watching horror films? The answer is simple because we like to get scared as we all know that fear is one of the most powerful emotion. And because it is such a powerful emotion, fear of death is something that movies can play on effectively. Someone just like horror movie because they just want to find some stimulations. Even though we know that we will get feared watching such kind of movies, we still can't get out of it. There are many types of fears and several things that make people afraid off. One is universal fear, exceeding cultural barriers is the fear of death. Moreover every human has a fear of death. You are not scared of darkness but you are scared of that there might be someone or something that we couldn't see and that may threaten your life.

Many people dislike horror movies as they create fear in the mind. It is said that we should avoid small children's from watching such kind of movies. Once the fear factor is created in the mind of them they never tend to live alone and are scared of every strange thing. Even a shadow can scare them off easily. The horrible faces, the background music, the surprising actions, sudden appearance etc. has more impact in scaring the person who is watching. As you know that huge numbers of people are inspired by the movies they feel whatever is shown in the movie is real and follows it. Hence according to some people paranormal activities displayed in the movies are considered as real and existing.
