Sony 3dtv Hit The Stores

The Sony the worlds second largest TV manufacturer have just launch their new range of 3D TVs

. These new 3D TVs will be avaliable in UK and across europe from the 13th June 2010. These new tvs from Sony will also incorporate the latest LED back lighting technology as well as Sony's latest Bravia 3D technology. Sony have also worked hard on the design of this latest range of televisions, they have kept the design very simple and used only the finest materials, you won't find any cheap plastic on these televisions, every thing i glass and steel. Sony call these new designs 'monolithic'.

Sony 3D enabled TVs will offer consumers with a truly unique 3D experience, Sony are the 3rd company in the UK to launch a range of 3D televisions after Samsung and Panasonic. Sony have packed their new top of the range models with some stunning features. The new models include a 200Hz frame rate technology to provide 3D images in full 1080p resolution, Freeview HD tuner, Bravia Internet video service, Deep Black Panel, Wi-Fi ready, Bravia Engine 3, Ambient Sensor and 24p True Cinema.

These high end features work together to give you the ultimate 3D viewing experience. Along with the outstanding images delivered, there is an stunning design to finish the range off perfectly. Due to the LED lighting used, the depth of the 3D TV range is super slim. Although these screens are still no where near as slim as the Samsung 9000 range of 3DTVs.

The Samsung 7000 & 8000 3D TV range is now available in the UK with the Panasonic VT20 model which is proving to be very popular. Samsung clearly have the edge in the 3DTV market in the UK and currently have 90% of the market share, panasonic have the other 10%. Samsung claim to have 270,000 3D TVs worldwide as of May 2010.

For Sonys 3DTVs to really sell in big numbers they will need to compete with Samsung on price this is something they have failed to do in the highly competetive LCD TV market where Samsung is now the largest manufacture by far. One thing Sony has going for it is that it already has a 3D player in thousands of homes thanks to the PS3, which should get its 3D update later this year.
