Special Diamonds
Although, composed from one of the most common element on earth
, diamonds have always been special. This has much to do with the fact that they were extremely rare in olden times and thus highly sought after as portable wealth. Today too large or in a way special diamonds are bought as assets, while smaller counterparts are worn and flaunted for the immense beauty they possess. These stunning stones have made their journey from the royals of yesteryears to the modern day man in quite a trendy fashion. The present day scenario is such that no bride to-be likes to settle for anything less than a decent sized diamond placed in an exclusive ring setting just for her. And its not that this demand is baseless, but comes from the distinctive similarities the stone has with a bond that is marriage. The theory is that since diamond is one of the hardest substances known to man and cannot be destroyed unless incredible force is applied, it is a metaphor for the relationship and love a couple has between them.
All diamonds are special, seeing the fact that they have taken millions of years to be created deep within the earths core, but four things that stand out are the stones beauty, durability, rarity, and enduring value. Yet special diamonds are something else altogether. A diamond is endowed with this honour only if the polished creation tends to hold its own in the world of diamonds. Some of the worlds famous special diamonds are the Steinmetz Pink, the De Beers Millenium Star, the Heart of Eternity, The Yellow Heart and The Steinmetz Yin Yang, among others. These sparklers are celebrated across the globe for their unique characteristics.
The Steinmetz Pink is a one of its kind large fancy vivid pink diamond weighing 59.60 carats. The stone is flawless and has been given an oval cut by the expert cutters of Steinmetz Group. While this diamond is famous for its unusual intense colour, the De Beers Millenium Star is eminent for its D colour grade and sheer size of 203.04 carats. The diamond is pear shaped and flawless. Heart of Eternity is about 27.64 carats but possesses a deep fancy vivid blue colour grade that distinguishes it into this category of special diamonds. Same goes for the striking Yellow Heart diamond, which is 22 carats and commands a fancy vivid yellow colour grade in addition to its flawless clarity. The Steinmetz Yin Yang are counted among these solitaires for being a unique pair of identical 35 carat diamonds with D colour and IF (internally flawless) grade.
All these
special diamonds have earned their place in history and the diamond world with their colour, carat, cut, or clarity grades. They have become benchmarks for diamonds that will be discovered and presented to the world in the coming times.
