Early spectacle was mainly used for aiding people to see clear. People will have various types of vision deficiencies due to various reasons. The funniest part of people"s vision is that most of the vision errors are irreversible, while doctors don"t call these irreversible disorders diseases. These disorders can"t be resumed by taking medicines, and the only choice is to wear spectacle before laser surgery was invented.

Since middle of 20th century, spectacle started to be given another task of helping people look better by wearing spectacle. Especially with the popularity of sun spectacle from that time, eyewear give people better appearance as well as protected wearers from harsh lights. This change has revolutionized the spectacle. By now almost all the fashion industry players have entered the design and making of modern spectacle, which has made the spectacle industry boom with thousands of stylish and trendy options.
