Spiritual Aspects of The Sedona Method

The Sedona method was discovered by Lester Levenson in 1952 while trying to find answers to his situation when doctors gave him just a few weeks time to live. He was almost on the death bed with various major health problems and he took the path of self introspection in order to find answers. He discovered that as he released his negative emotions, he became better and better. Soon not only he became physically well, he lived another 40 years and taught his method of releasing to many others. He called this method 'The Sedona Method'.

Today 'The Sedona Method' is availble as a great selef improvement tool and a tool for manifesting abundance in our lives. Lester demonstrated that by a simple process of releasing, we can become happier and manifest abundance in our lives. However this article is about the more uncommon aspect of The Sedona Method - The Spiritual aspects of Sedona.

In order to appreciate the spiritual aspects of The Sedona Method, we need to start with the higher principle - we are not physical bodies but we are spiritual beings with a body and mind. Normally we identify ourselves with our body and so we can not express our higher selves much. During the practice of 'The Sedona Method', when we start releasing our negative thoughts and emotions, we realize the influence of our mind on our body. Later as we continue to release more, we start experiencing more and more happiness and peace. This peace is not an external manifestation but something that already exists inside us and it starts getting expressed because we started removing obstructions (by releasing).

Mind is nothing but a bundle of thoughts and mind does not exist without thoughts. As we release thoughts we gradually start experiencing the spiritual aspects of Sedona method.

According to the various aspects of our being, our progression is expressed as follows:

Stage 1: Physical - As we release thoughts, especially the negative ones in the beginning, we start experiencing more physical energy, more health and body becomes light and relaxed. Our old pains and ailments start improving.

Stage 2: Mental - As the negative thoughts are released and positive thoughts find more expression, we start feeling more peace and happiness inside us. We also start experiencing manifestation of our desires in our lives.

Stage 3: Spiritual - Initially it is about negative thoughts but as we release more and more we start experiencing periods of complete release of thoughts both positive and negative. During such stages, our awareness and understanding increases and we start experiencing our spiritual nature. As we progress further, this awareness becomes expanded and we start experiencing our higher spiritual nature.

Out true nature is Love, Joy and Peace. As we release our thoughts and emotions, we naturally and gradually express more Love, Joy and Peace in our lives. Thus, The Sedona Method not only helps us in improving our lives but also helps us to grow spiritually.
