If you are very active and are considering buying special sporting sunglasses instead

of regular sunglasses, you may need a little bit of persuasion to help make your decision. Which pair you should buy is going to first and foremost depend on how active you are outdoors. You are probably going to pay more money for sporting sunglasses, but this is not always going to be the case. It depends on the other type of shades that you are considering purchasing. What are the differences between regular shades and sport shades? What makes them good for playing sports?

First of all, the shades that are for sports and outdoor activities are made to be super sturdy. They are going to be resistant to breakage and are also going to have lenses that are not going to shatter and splinter all over your eyes. It is critical that if you are very active in environments that require you to wear shades that you buy a pair that has these impact resistant, shatter resistant lenses. There also should be no sharp points anywhere on the frames of sporting sunglasses, and the frames should be made of some material that is very sturdy, whether it is titanium, silicone or some other strong material. This is going to be especially important if you are planning on paying a lot of money for an expensive pair of designer shades. Even though most companies are going to offer a warranty for your purchase, they are not going to replace your shades for free if they are broken from playing sports. The warranty that is offered by companies are only going to cover damage that results from defects and manufacturer design flaws.

For regular types of shades, they may or may not have shatter resistant lenses, depending on the particular style. In addition, they may or may not have durable frame materials, unlike sporting sunglasses. The shades for sports are going to be designed so that if you get hit in the side of the head, such as if you are playing some flag football, you are not going to suffer from an exaggerated injury because of faulty frames. The frames that are used for sporting sunglasses are all completely safe, so if you do happen to get hit in the side of the head, you are not going to have to worry about having your head cut by the jagged edges of broken frames!
