Sports Meeting and Me

I have a special feeling for sports meeting. It has been from one thing I did not know to be acquainted with. It gives me a lot of happiness and sadness as well. Many moments have been fixed in my most unforgettable and memorable memories. The changing of the feeling is important in my inner heart which will never disappear. This feeling also makes me deeply appreciate the charm of sports and those storied happened in my school life reveal the truth of sports and life to me.

Primary school

In the playground of an ordinary country school, we only ran for one award. I did not know what a sport meeting it was. What I only knew was that the fastest one would represent the school to participate in the competition in town. I could not run fast and I was always far behind other competitors. I did not have a chance to really touch the sports meeting by myself.

Junior high school

At the last semester of junior school, our school suddenly declared that we would hold a sports meeting. After begging for 3 days, we were finally allowed to participate. I can always remember a small playground. I was excited to see the athletes came to me after the national flag, listened to the oath of the athletes and referees representatives, loudly shouted the names of participated classmates and looked forward the reports I wrote to be read out. Although this was only a short day, but I'll never forget the wonderful sports meeting. It gives excitement and madness which we never had before to each of our classmates. Life is movement, is running! I was still a spectator, but I was closer to it from psychological aspect.

High school

The difference between high school and junior high school is that we have more chances, but we should fight for one. I am glad that I seized the only opportunity to participate in the contest of 800 meters. I received more for being a participant than as a bystander. Running for me has never been strengths, but I was willing to try again, even if failed! I determined to fight for myself. I remembered that I went to the playground to run every night. The playground was full of people. Before the contest, I was sick and not completely recovered. I was not regret to go to the track. To fight for my beliefs! I did my best that day but was still left behind. However, I could hear the classmates shouting my name and I finally finished the competition. Although I was the last third one, but I thought that I was number one. I was not a LOSER! I insisted to the last moment! I experienced the charm of sports.

University

In university, many things have become more wonderful. I incredibly joined a football team. Although, I did not get a good result, I was not regret to give my efforts. We did not pay high attention to the result but we focus on the spirit of participating in the sports meeting. We were again infected with the climax of it. When I was a junior student, I was not a participant but a volunteer. I would give all my efforts to the sports meeting. As a spectator, I really cheered for athletes. Although being a spectator, I told myself never to give sports up.

To me, a sport meeting is a never-ending mountain. Whether in the foot or the top of it, nothing can stop me to climb with confidence.
