Tactile Signals: Prospective buyers will touch things. They may touch countertops; they may turn on water taps; peak through Venetian blinds and open over doors. If these items are greasy and / or sticky, prospective buyers will know it.

Smelly Issues:The ideal home smells good. It does not smell of mold, or kitty litter or dog food. It is wise, when you are planning to put your home on the market, to give the house a thorough cleaning from top to bottom. And then, make sure your pets and their accouterments are outside when prospective buyers are due to visit. A trick that has been around for a long time is to sprinkle some vanilla flavoring into a pan and heat it in the over for a few minutes to spread good aromas through the house.

Taste? Yes, why not? Simply bake some oatmeal cookies before the prospective buyers are due to arrive and set them out. This not only tastes good, it makes the whole house smell good as well.
