In open position the couples will stand beside each other in which woman will be in right side and man will be holding her hands from left side. In closed position the gap between couples is six inches. In this both will face each other and keep their hands relaxed. The right arm of man should be placed below the woman shoulder and both the hands of women will be holding the appropriate hands of man.

The most important thing in this is each shoulder should be in eye level. In right parallel position the feet of the woman are on the right side of the man and the right shoulders of both should be facing them. The right hand of the man should be placed on the backside of woman. Left parallel position is same as the right. But the only difference is this should be performed on the opposite side. In promenade position the couples stand in a row like structure. In this the right side of man is touching the left side of woman. This position is called as partially opened position. Man will hold the right hand of his pair in his left hand and his right hand will hold her waist.
