Step by step guide to replace your Nissan Window Motor

First step:

Remove window switch.

Unbolt door panel.

If door panel does not come off easily, check for another screw.

Release door lock cable and door handle cable from the door panel.

Check for a wire connected to the door panel light and if there is one then disconnects it.

Second step:

Don't stretches the door panel's wind and sound protection cover (the plastic liner).

Use knife or razor blade to remove from sticky material.

Tape up window glass to prevent it from falling down.

Unplug the electrical supply of Nissan Sentra Window Motor.

Third step:

Remove the bolts which hold the window regulator into the door.

Remove the window regulator and an assembly with the motor.

Take your time removing this assembly, as it is very tricky to pull out the Nissan Maxima Window Regulator from the door.

Fourth step:

The next step is to remove three bolts holding the window motor to the regulator.

Note the position of the motor on the regulator.

If it was riveted in, you will need to remove the rivets.

Attach the replacement motor to the window regulator.

You can use nuts and bolts for this.

Put the window regulator in its place in the door, and reattach all bolts securely.

Fifth step:

Now release the window glass very slowly, making sure all parts are reattached and seat properly.

Connect plug and window motor switch to check out whether window motor and regulator are functioning properly.

Now reattach door panel step by step in reverse direction, making sure all parts fit properly.

Keep in mind to reconnect and check out proper working of door lock cable and door handle cable.

1) Regular screw driver large

2) Regular screw driver small

3) Door panel clip tool

4) 10 mm wrench

5) Socket and ratchet

6) Philips screwdriver

7) Extension with 8 mm socket
