Steve Korch is an outstanding author and his first book My Soul Thirsts, an invitation to intimacy with God (Judson Press, 2000), has received superb reviews. Steve was born in 1950 and grew up in California in a fairly common home. He started college, but soon he joined Army, serving as a co-pilot in Vietnam for a year. His experiences gave him insight into the Gospel and he received Jesus Christ as his savior. Following his military service, Steve decided to complete his education and earned a B.A. in history from Biola University and a M.Div. from Western Seminary. He served as pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Lincoln City of nine years. Various developmental projects were launched under his supervision and guidance and the church grew from the smallest church in the town to one of the largest churches in the county. He then served for three years at Fair Oaks Baptist Church in Concord, California. From 1990 to 1999, Steve Korch, CA served as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in San Mateo.

Steve Korch is a professor at Western Seminary and the Director of Pastoral Training.
