Stinky The Garbage Truck And Kung Zhu Set To Be Huge This Christmas

We may only be half way through the year and enjoying the summer sun

, but that doesn't stop toy retailers from getting their products ready for Christmas, the biggest toy selling season of the year. Their work starts early in the year, and UK toy giant Hamleys has produced its list of toys that it thinks will be creating a mad rush for the tills this Christmas. Much like the tiny zhu zhu pets last year these are the toys that will have your kids crying out to be in santa's sack this year and bound to create a buying panic and ebay frenzy when stock magically gets low around Christmas.

Set to be the biggest toy this year is a new toy by Mattel, in the matchbox Big Rig Buddies range. Joining his pal Rocky the Robot Truck, comes Stinky the Garbage Truck, a massive truck that eats garbage and toy cars while singing, dancing and farting. With plenty of phrases and sound reaction abilities, he can interact with children and even knows when he isn't being played with and will start snoring and go to sleep. This is set to be around 82 pounds in the UK and around 50 dollars in the US, a lot pricier than the 10 dollars zhu zhu pets of last year, although on ebay they fetched around 50 dollars after a stock shortage left ebay sellers free to raise their prices due to high demand.

Similar to last year a toy in the Zhu Zhu Pet range is set to be massive, but this time with boys. The robot wars style Kung Zhu pets are Zhu Zhu pets with armour, battle arenas, battle cries and ninja clothing, these really are amazing little boys toys and set to be big for a reason. Unlike last year, these zhu zhu pets are aimed at boys with their darker colours and more aggressive tone, but still cute as ever. The price range is around the 10 dollar mark but there are more in the range, so I'm sure kids will be screaming out for two to battle and the official battle arena, making the cost add up.

The most expensive is the 460 pound scale miniature Ferrari car that has two gears, and a reverse gear and can be driven by kids, although not quite as fast as the real thing this is sure to be a big seller for some lucky kids who's parents have a little more cash to spare.

Like a few years ago, Buzz lightyear is set to be a big seller again this year, but he comes with new jet pack boosters to tie into the Toy Story 3 movie which is released this summer and sure to be a massive hit and lead to a huge demand of new Toy Story toys by Christmas. He retails at around 40 dollars or 40 pounds. The Ben 10 Ultimate Omnitrix Ultimatrix which isn't too expensive at just 23 pounds or 20 dollars and ties into the new Ben 10 Ultimate Alien TV show which continues Ben's adventures which have been popular for the last few years. The usual main sellers are still in the top list, such as board games, teddy bears, Lego, dressing up. Some of these toys aren't even on sale at the time of writing so its amazing how early these big sellers are predicted, but last year they were spot on with zhu zhu pets, becoming a run away hit and creating more demand than even the toy manufacturers expected.
