The lasting effects of bullies can scar a young child and damage them for life
. A lot of parents of bullies are unknowing that the bullying is happening and I think if the bully is younger in age a stern talking to from you can go a long way. Let it be known that you will not bring this up again but if the bullying continues you will speak to their parents. If the bully is older it may be best to speak directly to their parent and explain specific instances. Parents are protective of their children and they will find it hard to believe that their child is a bully. You will even see this on a much larger scale with parents of kids whom have been convicted of terrible crimes. Even if after the conversation it seems as the bullies parent was not receptive rest assured it did sink in and they will take it up with their child in private.
