Strategies to Stay Pumped and Energized

Lack of exercise is one of the most common causes of tiredness

. The remedy for this would have to be incorporating even a light exercise or workout in your daily routine. But what if you feel too tired to exercise? What if you don't feel like exercising? Well, you can go on thinking that you better stay on your couch and do nothing, but you can also convince your mind to get up and stay pumped and energized. You can learn how to get rid of tiredness with a little exercise.

Here's what you can do to start a workout routine and enjoy the benefits of exercising:

1. Get off to a slow start. If you feel too tired to exercise, consider that it could just be your mind that's exhausted, not your body. Have you been idle for hours? Are you in the middle of creating a new marketing plan? Your body probably wants some other activity. And you could use a little exercise this time. Don't make drastic moves. By starting slow, you can have the power you need to keep going and gain energy.

2. Enough is enough. According to experts, working out for at least 30 minutes each day is necessary to really experience energy boost. But there is a variety of exercises that you can do everyday. You can do cardio exercises one day, then strength training and Pilates or yoga the following day. However, don't overexert yourself and don't overdo a workout routine. Like in other things, there's a limit to what you can do. Getting enough exercise is what you need and this is one good way on how to get rid of tiredness and increase energy.

3. Go for interval training. This can be good for maintaining energy levels. The brief rest-and-recharge periods can work wonders. You can start by doing warm ups for five minutes, then alternate several minutes of high intensity workout with several minutes of low intensity workout. Two challenging exercises a week is fine. It's always important to cool down and do some stretches afterwards. When it comes to intensity, it's better if you focus on the "talk test" instead of the heart rate. If you can't talk while doing your cardio, well then stop. This can just leave you feeling more tired than energized.

4. From light to heavy and back. If you feel tired, perform a cardio warm up for a few minutes, then using lighter weights, do a set of 10 to 15 reps each move. The energy you'll gain from performing this can help you do a more challenging circuit, like lifting heavy weights for 6 to 10 reps per set.

5. Enjoy your exercise routine. Do the kind of exercise or workout that you enjoy and love. You'll achieve greater results if you're having fun exercising.

Exercise is certainly good for us. Stop believing that a quick workout can leave you more tired than ever. Remember that even a simple exercise can go a long way in increasing your mind's alertness and boosting your energy levels.
