Street Fighting Moves From A Veteran Bouncer...

This article describes some highly effective techniques which you can use to defend yourself if you end up in a street fight

. During the course of my life, there have been many fights. I've spend some time behind bars, and I've been employed as a bouncer, and during this time, I've learned some street fighting moves which are important to know.

When it comes to street fighting moves, nothing is out of bounds, including biting - so don't forget that your teeth are part of your arsenal. Try to sink your teeth into any parts of your opponent's body that find their way towards your face - hands, fingers, arms, and anything else you see. By taking these opportunities to bite at your opponent, you're increasing your odds of walking away alive.

Street fighting moves should incorporate kicking at your attacker's groin, shins and kneecaps whenever possible. Don't perform any sidekicks, as these give your opponent the chance to grab your leg and flip you over. If you fall, learn how to regain your footing as quickly as possible. Perform only kicks to low areas of the body and you'll be better enabled to retain your balance, and position yourself more effectively.

When thinking about street fighting moves, don't rehearse your methods, or else you'll become predictable. Visit a park every so often to rehearse in a realistic setting.

Gouging at your attacker's eyes is another very powerful street fighting move, and can often be used more effectively than punches. Aim for your opponent's eyes at any opportunity, and once you've made contact, start to land punches everywhere else. You'll blind your attacker and subsequently obtain a much better advantage during your battle, enabling you to emerge with little injury.

Your street fighting moves can be aided by weight and cardio training as well, and increase your health in general. If you are attacked by someone, being out of shame will only make your situation worse. Scrawny and overweight people are the victims of mugging fare more often than physically fit people are.

Your best street fighting move is vigilance. Be aware of your surroundings always, and don't relax if you are in a potentially dangerous situation. As you walk through unpopulated areas by yourself, listen for any signs of suspicious activity. By maintaining an awareness of your environment, you'll also be better prepared to cope with any unexpected attacks by using these effective street fighting moves to emerge victorious and safe.
