Doing this can be approached in a few different ways that are primarily about reducing stress hormones like cortisol and creating endorphins which is a chemical in your body that makes you feel good and on control. Some tips to do this are:

Exercise - Exercise at a high enough intensity produces endorphins that make you feel in control, energetic and happier which combats the stressful feelings you may have. It will also help you stay healthy and boost your immune system.

Relaxing Music - Studies have shown that relaxing music when listened to for about half and hour with no interruptions or distractions allows the body to lower cortisol levels and sparks the production of endorphins too. This is a bit like being able to meditate in a way which is also good for lowering stress levels.

Exist in the Now - So many people who are overly stressed are so because they are worrying about what has already happened and has been done or by future problems not even happening yet. Instead you should live life in the moment. This does not mean not learning from the past or not planning for the future but when you are beginning to stress because of something you cannot alter you must put those thoughts aside because they are negative and intrusive and do nothing for you.
