As there is no guarantee of admission for wait-listed students, applying to multiple colleges improves the chances of getting into a good college. The entire process of acceptance or denial is quite stressful and students as well as parents finally take a sigh of relief after getting a few admission confirmations. Now they decide upon the best college and get busy in the further processes.
