. You are not quite sure what student media is, are you? Well, student media is any type of distributing information about student life. This can be a newspaper (it is classic, and it can be found at any educational establishment), radio, TV, web site, etc. How can these types of student media be helpful? What is so good about them? Well, there are at least three good pros in this kind of extracurricular activity. 1.It is obvious that in the creation process only (or mainly) students are involved. It means that students write and edit articles; they print their newspaper, present news on radio and TV, design the web-site, and even administer these processes. Thus, students obtain priceless experience while gaining the necessary knowledge. 2.Student media are preoccupied with student problems, joys, sorrows, etc. Thus, novice students can have the comprehensive information on campus, libraries, faculty, extracurricular activities available, etc. Besides, many student media establish meetings and workshops for newcomers or other students. Such workshops are usually held in August before the study starts. 3.As any extracurricular activity student media develops different useful skills and prepares student to different career issues. It is also important that students do not waste their best years on some disgraceful activities. They have no time for drugs because they need to get ready to the next issue. Besides, students meet different people who can be useful for their future development. Of course, they get very good and helpful communication with peers. Thus, student media is one of the most exciting and helpful extracurricular activities which brings joy and satisfaction with your own creativity.
