, you can see the term "student culture" frequently repeated. Not going through definitions, such term is usually accepted as is, mostly referring to students' life on campus. Tracing the appearance of the term student culture in different periods, it can be stated that the term as well as its meaning might have slightly changed during the years. In that regard, the present article will attempt to outline some of the differences between the current student culture and the culture of previous decades. Socialization It can be stated that the concept of socialization as a part of student culture has gone through a little transformation. Previously socialization implied personal communication and contact, which in the context of colleges and universities might occur in the lecture room, during extracurricular activities, the dorms, and others. Similarly, such relations are developed and maintained personally, in one of the aforementioned locations. The modern concept of socialization, on the other hand, implies that students can socialize through internet. Moreover, in many cases such form of socialization might be seen prevalent more than other forms. The history of one of the most popular social networks - Facebook, which was initially developed as a Harvard network, shows how the network expanded to include thousands of universities and colleges. The Culture of Studying One of the most essential aspects of the culture of studying in previous decades was related to libraries. The feel of books, the silence of the library, and the every-day ritual of going to search for a scholarly journal radically changed. Yes, there are still books that can be found only in libraries, but their numbers are decreasing. E-books, notebooks, iPads, and digital libraries, implies that you can study all alone in your room.
