Freshman fifteen: a nightmare or reality?
If you are asking this question, sorry to disappoint you, but it is true. It is commonly known that the majority of freshmen gain about fifteen pounds during their first year on campus. Let us consider the reasons for this deplorable pattern.
1.Where does fat come from? If you eat more than your body needs for healthy functioning, the surplus is accumulated and overweight is the result. It is necessary to eat only when you are hungry, not when you have nothing else to do.
2.College students are often awfully busy during a day and they start eating late at night. It is harmful in itself, if the food they eat is taken into account, the situation becomes even sadder.

1.Stick to a healthy diet but never starve yourself. Remember that you are studying, not idling away your time, you need energy.
2.Be selective, eat healthy food and exclude fat from your diet.
3.Develop a habit of cooking, set a tradition to cook something with your friends regularly.
