Student Media: How Is It Possible To Use The Fourth Power?

Being a student means attending classes, libraries and parties

. Being a student means studying, self-developing and having fun. However, being a student also means preparing the basis for your future career. What additional advantages can you gain at your school? What opportunities to use? You may use, so called, the fourth power, or in plain words student media. The universal opportunity is student newspaper. What can you do?

1.Start writing different articles. Of course, it could be better if these articles deal with students life and academic world. You may also write about politics, some social issues, etc. Do not write about a new haircut of Victoria Beckham. Try to be helpful. Moreover, you should work out your personal writing style. People should recognize your articles. Use striking titles. Make your articles full of important details.

2.If you are not good at such writing you may try to publish your scientific articles or various research reports. You may also focus on newspapers design: you can offer some interesting photos, and other supporting materials.

3.Of course, you should try your best to become a wining applicant. Thus, to write articles or provide some interesting photos may be not enough. Try to become an editor of your school newspaper. How to do that? You should be active, creative and responsible. Of course, you will have to prove that you deserve the post of your school newspaper editor. However, it will be really helpful at the interview with your possible employer. Thus, you should focus on your aim and try your best. Of course, you may have no time for some parties or even you will have little time to sleep, but you should understand that such little (and not lasting) inconveniences will not prevent you from achieving your goals.
