Study English As Second Language Course For A Brighter Future
English language is spoken everywhere around the world
. It is an international language that cannot be disregarded. It is a language spoken by the majority population of several sovereign countries. It is the official language used by many commonwealth countries and the United Nations, European Union, as well as many other world organizations.
With the advancement of technology in this contemporary world, English language is playing a major role in many sectors that includes engineering, transportation, medicines, and especially in education. Speaking English can boost self-esteem once learned and practiced in a correct way blended with right accent especially for non-speakers of English. It is a weapon that can be carried along when someone has to travel either for business or for pleasure to non-English speaking countries if this traveller does not know how to speak their own dialect.
Some countries with different native languages and cultures such as in the Philippines, English is the language dominantly used particularly by the upper class families instead of using Tagalog as their native dialect. Sometimes they mix Tagalog and English on a daily basis especially when talking to their children and this vernacular is called Taglish. Even for middle class and some lower class families, they sometimes use English as a means of communication. This is because every school in the Philippines uses English as a medium of instruction.
This English environment made the Philippines as the number one choice for non-English speaking countries when they study English language course. Young as 5 years old kid can already communicate through English particularly those kids that belong to the upper class families. This is because they are being sent to exclusive schools where English is strictly being spoken. Hence, English language schools are increasing because foreign nationalities who are not native English speakers prefer to study English language course in the Philippines.
The importance of English also bridges the gap between nations of different languages. It connects the people within one nation that has many different native dialects such as in India or China. It is also essential not just for international commerce but also for inter-state commerce and communication. One who is proficient in English from a non-English speaking country can find a high quality job and is likely to be promoted since he can communicate well. In Indonesia, learning and mastering the English has become a must. The English curriculum in some of their schools is being enhanced not just by teaching the students on how to speak the language well but also improving their communication skills.
To date, many non-English speaking countries such as Japan, Russia or Korea, still use their own dialect as a medium of instruction in their school and universities. But English is their only window to the outside world. It is a fact that people leave their own country for business, pleasure, job opportunities, and further studies. The importance of English language made these people study further and leave their country because there are better English language schools outside their own country that are more affordable even if they have to spend for their travel and accommodation.
