No matter how you look at it, if you are going to be successful in the internet marketing industry, you have to know what you are doing. You must also have a burning desire to be successful. In the book "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill, he states that "Riches begin with thought." You have to be willing to step outside of the box to see the potential opportunities around you. Today that could not be more true. There are so many potential businesses out there that would love nothing more than to make you an affiliate of theirs to not only financially gain from your work. It gives you an opportunity to make a step towards financial freedom as well.
So how come so many people cannot make it in this type of business?
Did you know that supposedly every 11 seconds someone becomes a distributor with a MLM program? There are an estimated 50 million people worldwide involved in an MLM. That means that every 12 seconds someone is dropping out of the MLM affiliate program that they started with.
That number is the reason people are to scared to get involved with any MLM. The problem is not the affiliate they are with. Its the lack of education they are receiving to become successful. Which goes back to just what I said in the first paragraph of this article. YOU HAVE TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!
Most affiliates programs have gotten better. Although they do not teach all of the marketing strategies available to their affiliates. Why? I do not know. Maybe they feel that if they teach everything they know, then they will dry up due to people starting their own program. What ever the case may be, you can be successful if you have an edge over everyone else.
So how many marketing strategies are out there and what are they?
The marketing industry has gotten so competitive that you have to do more than everyone else to be effective. The more you do, the more successful you will be. Here are just a few methods available to you.
Article marketing is certainly one method you can use to be very successful with whatever affiliate you are with. The more articles you write the better your chances are at getting found by Google.
Banner advertising. Placing Banners on web pages that attract other people to the business you are affiliated with or similar to what you have to sell them is a great way to sell your product or service.
Blogging.Nothing can hurt you by having a Blog. Its a great avenue to lead people to the knowledge you have. The more knowledgeable you are to someone, the better your chances are of obtaining them as a customer.
Email marketing. This allows you to directly sell your product to other people. Although you need to have a powerful subject line to get the clicks. If this is done properly you can generate tons of leads in a month or even one email.
Free Classifieds. There is nothing better than FREE!! It takes time to become effective writing ads to free classified websites. If done right, you can get a lot of leads using this method.
Social Media. This has become one of the best tools people use today to obtain customers. It's free and people get to know who you are before they buy from you. Most people think that people who make a lot of money are unreachable. Using social media allows them to reach people who they think are unreachable through having conversations with them. They need to believe that you are a real person. If they know you are there for them, you can obtain a lot of leads and turn them into customers, using this method.
There are many more methods used to market your product, affiliate or brick and mortar business. DVD marketing, Forums, PPC with major search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing. Using newspapers, Video marketing. etc.
Using all of the marketing strategies can help your business not only get off the ground, but continue to be successful. Most people that start out in a MLM or other affiliate marketing program that do not succeed is accounted to two reasons.
1. They place an ad or two and do not see immediate results. so they think that they got scammed by their affiliate program and quit.
2. They do not take the time to educate themselves with the business they have just got into.
Its a marathon, not a quick sprint.
No one that gets into this business gets rich overnight! You have to start out with a learning curve to use each marketing strategy effective. Although I have given a pretty decent size list of marketing strategies, If you do not take the initiative to learn how to use these strategies, You will fail. It's that simple. With so much knowledge being broadcast over the internet, there should really be no excuse for failure. There are even programs and communities that you can become a member of that will teach you all of these strategies in detail. If you are not being profitable with your business, It's not because you do not have the resources available. It's because you either do not know where to go, or you have a bit of a lazy streak in you. In which case you will be part of the statistic of people that get involved in MLM and drop out.
