Successful Network Marketing For Unsuccessful People
Every year millions of people enter the world of Network Marketing with dreams of self employment and vast riches
. Companies like Tupperware, Mary Kay and Amway have sold billions of dollars in product and given individuals the opportunity to be self employed, but have also given a lot of people a bad taste for network marketing. Lots of people fail, but it is not impossible to be successful at network marketing - thousands of people achieve success every day. In order to avoid becoming a casualty of the industry, it is important to do research, know what you're getting into, and above all else, be willing to work.
When entering network marketing, the work starts before you sign on the dotted line in the form of research. How old is the company? How are the products rated? Is the company CEO a respected individual with successful business experience? How will you be getting paid. How many pennies out of each sales dollar get paid back to the consultants, and how fair is the distribution of these pennies between the old members and the new members? Stay away from anything that gives you pause or seems unfair or shady.
The next research step toward successful network marketing is to look at the training programs. Good MLM companies should give all consultants access to ample training, to free downloadable sales aids and money management tools, and should provide opportunities to network locally or online with peers.
One of the most important pre-steps toward successful network marketing is to assess whether or not you can afford the buy-in and maintenance costs. Like any business, you have to spend money to make money and network marketing is no exception. The first year can be difficult, and you need to weigh all of the costs and expenses before getting started.
Just as you need to asses your bank account, you need to asses your time and commitment accounts. If you are starting part time after your day job, do you have the energy and hours to put in to develop a customer base and build a downline unit? Rejection is inevitable in the beginning and it can take 100 no's to get to 1 yes. Make sure you can handle it.
Learn from your mentors. Successful network marketing companies tell their directors to spend 30 days with a new recruit. Use that first month to ask as many questions as you can and always emulate the qualities of those who came before you and achieved success. And as you build a downline of your own, be willing to devote time to your new recruits to ensure their success, and your paycheck.
Work, work, work. If you read the success stories of those who have done well in business, they didn't get there over night. If you are working your network marketing business part time, designate a certain number of hours every night and weekend to devote to your business. If you are full time, set a regular 8 hour schedule for yourself. Have a designated area to work and don't get caught up with the TV, the laundry, or having two hour lunches with friends. Successful network marketing comes from treating your business as a business and devoting as many hours as possible toward reaching your goals.
