When painting walls and woodwork try to avoid using dark colors as this will make the room feel claustrophobic, pale colors such as creams, olive greens, and whites with a hint of color in them will make the room look not only bigger and brighter but will give a sense of style as well.

Purchasing a large mirror for your small room is a good idea but its position in that room is very important. If you are trying to create an illusion of a room that is bigger than what it actually is try placing the mirror where it will reflect natural light.

Consider buying accessories that will enhance your space, but try to stay with one splash of color as too many colors will give the room a look of utter confusion. Scatter cushion for the sofas, a few vases here and there, and maybe a rug, will bring the whole room together.

Curtains for your windows will add the feel of luxury to the room and depending on what design you have chosen for your suite, a plain or lightly designed curtain would be best for a small room. Choose one that compliments the window and design you have chosen for your room.
