Yes, it is a "no contact" sport.

Here are some tips to help keep your mind and thoughts away from pining for your ex:

GET A LIFE

Believe it or not this can be a fresh beginning for you. While you were occupied with all things about your love, now is the time to cultivate those things you like about you. Occupy your time with new (or old) interests. This is a strategy to get your mind off your ex and back to those things that make you a great person.

GET A NEW ATTITUDE

As our attitude is, so our thoughts will follow! It is time to develop a positive attitude about yourself and your life. You may feel unworthy because of the break-up. Or that you cannot be of any value without your ex by your side. This is your 'old' way of thinking! You were an interesting, valuable person before your ex, otherwise that person would not have fallen for you in the first place! Develop your talents and skills to become ever more attractive to the people in your life.

NEVER MAKE THE FIRST CONTACT

Let your ex be the one to make the first move. Remember you have taken the time to develop new interests. You have gotten better at some things that have always interested you. Your time and mind are occupied. Your ex will know that you must have moved on, their interest will likely be piqued about why you are no longer seeking after him or her.

This particular stage in life is not fun nor easy. Be patient with yourself. Be kind. Remember compassion begins at home and that means you. Your ex will wonder about your sudden disappearance. And may decide that the best thing that ever happened to them, you, has disappeared from their life. In the meantime, congratulations on your efforts! You are worth more than any one other person.
