You might want to consider, at the very least, learning more about what these action groups know that you do not? I call them action groups because they are not just sitting back and waiting on funding, they are making it happen right now as your reading this. With funding being cut or altogether not available across the board, more and more during the economic turn over the last few years, doesn't it make sense to give your groups efforts every advantage you can to reach as many children and families as possible?

Ask yourself this question, if I were to hand you a check every month for say $500.00 to $1000.00.

That is between $6,000.00 - $12,000.00 a year, if I were to say here you go, here's $6,000 for your group/effort right now, would you tell me no? What if it were $12,000.00 for this year total? Would you say "No thanks, we don't need it!" or "We're fine". Would you seriously turn either amount down?

I did not think so, but I am sure there are some that will, I have just not met one yet! Perhaps you just are not sure, and that is o.k. What I question is why would you not want to learn more about this amazing opportunity to get extra funding right now? If you looked over it and decided it would not work, then we wish you luck and I will try to help you as much as possible still. However if you did look into it more and could see the opportunity for your group. Would that not be worth the time to take a more serious approach and investigate further.
