Eco clothing has often had a mad reputation. It seems people don't mind compromising on anything except on how they look and eco-friendly fashion items have not always been appealing to people. However, times are changing and eco-friendly materials and fabrics are becoming increasingly fashionable with an entire Eco Chic fashion movement emanating from wearing eco-friendly fashion items and still remain looking stylish.
Eco friendly material and fabrics are those that come from a sustainable source and are treated with chemical to encourage growth. Mad-made fabrics such as polyester and nylon are not eco-friendly as they are manufactured from chemicals while many natural materials like cotton are grown using pesticides and other chemicals.
Eco-friendly materials are normally organic and completely sustainable. Clothing made from bamboo, for instance, are great eco-friendly fabrics. Bamboo is a grass that is incredibly fast growing. Entire fields can be replaced in a matter of weeks which makes t a great source for eco-friendly clothing.
But it is practical too. As soft as cotton, bamboo clothing allows the air to circulate throughout it as well as having other antibacterial properties.
Clothing made from organic cotton is also eco-friendly. Unlike conventional cotton, the organic cotton is not treated with chemicals at any stage in its production and is only picked from sustainable cotton forests.
And other natural materials make great eco-friendly clothing too. Wool is wonderfully natural and sustainable as sheep regrow it each year. Woolen clothing is great for winter and it can even make fantastic pure wool duvets and other interior furnishings.
