Swingline Lx20-30 Shredder Review

This is a big machine that has a lot of great features, but it does have a few weaknesses that you should know about. Keep reading to learn all about them....

Strengths:

* The LX20-30 has an excellent shredding capacity. It can shred up to 22 sheets at once, so you'll be able to get rid of your confidential documents in a hurry. The machine can also shred CD's and credit cards so you'll be able to dispose of those items safely.

* This shredder is a cross-cut model so it offers a good amount of security. It has a Level 3 rating (Level 6 is the highest) so you'll be able to get rid of invoices, correspondence, credit reports, and more.

* The LX20-30 is designed for heavy use in an office setting. Not only does this machine have a continuous-duty motor, it has a 30-gallon waste bin that can be pulled out like a drawer. When the bin gets full, getting rid of your shreds will be incredibly easy.

* This machine can shut down automatically when people aren't using it. Not only does this reduce wear and tear on the motor, it will help you save a bit of money on electricity costs which are always going up.

* If you have a small office, this device might not be the best choice due to its size. Its dimensions are 35" (height) x 21" (width) x 21" (depth) and it weighs in at 167 pounds.

The Swingline LX20-30 is definitely a terrific paper shredder despite its couple of weaknesses. This machine offers a great shredding capacity and security, the ability to shred CD's and credit cards, and jam-free operation. This shredder is durable enough to handle continuous shredding and it doesn't require much maintenance at all. The warranty coverage is first-rate, too.
