TAJ International College offers UNISEL Courses
IPOH, 30th MARCH 2011. TAJ International College in Ipoh Perak has recognized the importance of providing technical qualification to the younger generation. With this aim, the college has initiated collaboration with University Selangor to provide its Bachelor's Degree at its premise in Ipoh. The university is as enthusiastic about the collaboration as TIC because of TIC's dedication and commitment towards providing quality education as well as its attempt in ensuring the students are given a holistic experience of corporate exposure rather than just education.
University Selangor or popularly known as UNISEL is one of the countries pioneering technical university. The Executive Director of TIC En Mohd Azad bin Jasmi said that this collaboration has been formed due to the UNISEL's contribution in enhancing the technical skills of its students. "UNISEL has produced graduates with excellent technical competency in their area of study and this is what the current day industries wants." he quoted. He added, "By offering UNISEL programmes in Ipoh, we ensure that the educational spending undertaken by the parents are kept at a minimum. The living cost in Ipoh is lower and the serene environment is the best for students." TIC expects to run seven of UNISEL's bachelor's degree at its campus, starting with the Bachelors of Marketing (Hons). The programmes that are offered at UNISEL provides technical competency to the students, which makes them highly in demand by all ranges of industries.
The signing of the MOA between TAJ International College and UNISEL will take place at the Kinta City Centre Court on 30th March 2011 at 3:00pm. This momentous occasion coincides with TIC's mega carnival at the same place. The signing of the MOA would be championed by the Vice Chancellor of UNISEL, Datuk Rosti bin Saruwono and Puan Tina binti Dato' Haji Tajuddin the CEO of TAJ International College. The delegates from UNISEL includes Prof Dr Anuar bin Ahmad, Deputy Vice Chancellor, En Mohd Reza bin Abdul Ghani, Head of ISM Programmes, En Mohammad bin Sulaiman, En Hasril bin Abdul Hasan, Corporate Communication Officer, En Hasni bin Mohd Nor, Public Relation Officer and Puan Nino Hanum Marinda binti Mohamad, Corporate Communication Officer. This collaboration would bring a 2 + 1 programme to Ipoh where the students would be able to experience a university life with minimum cost of living as well as obtain a highly reputable university degree.
