As part of the Iberian Peninsula, together with Portugal, Spain is a country that has many beaches. Furthermore, much of the income of this country relies on tourism in these areas. As a first and important division of beaches, one should mention the beaches on the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. In the two mentioned places we have the insular beaches and the continental beaches. Concerning the ones on the Mediterranean Sea, there are numerous and famous sea resorts, such as la Costa Blanca, la Costa de Valencia, la Costa de Azahar or la Costa Bahar. Most well known for their beautiful views are Marbella, Costa del Sol and Costa Brava. On the other hand, concerning the Atlantic beaches, Spain also offers you a wide range of options: la Costa de la Luz, Costa Verde, and Costa Vasca.

The insular beaches

Spain does not only offer the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea or the Atlantic Ocean. It is a country with many insular beaches, as well. On the Mediterranean Sea, whether you choose Ibitza, Mallorca or Menorca, the fun is assured. The turquoise water, the high coasts and the caves will be a great combination for a very beautiful holiday.
