In the end, one of the cast members will end up winning a prize, either monetary or a contract. The most popular reality shows today are Survivor, The Apprentice, America's Next Top Model, Amazing Race, Project Runway, and a lot more.

Apart from regular TV programming with shows, there are also the news programs produced by the network. Most people are also looking for the best news team from who will deliver the most reliable news. News programs can also bring ratings to their networks especially if they are updated with recent and breaking news, have exclusives and are unbiased when it comes to broadcasting.

Overall, TV programming is important to a network. This is something that will help them get their ratings and also get lots of nominations from award-giving bodies.
