Hyper Edge is the upgraded model of TVS Apache RTR 160
. this latest upgraded model of TVS Apache is now available in selected TVS stores. Hyper Edge was in news a few days back for its upcoming launch. Although no official news is out yet but still this model is seen in some of the TVS outlets. In India the meaning of upgraded model is limited only to the changes in the look of the model with no real upgradings in the technology or actual performance. And maintaining tradition, the upgraded model of TVS Apache RTR 160 is polished with only a few changes in the looks of the bike. The bike is codenamed as Hyper Edge. The refreshed model does not have any mechanical or technological changes in it. But the look however is altered. The visual differences include a striking sticker of 'HyperEdge" placed on the tank flaps. Some additional trendy stripes are added on the tank, tail panel and the front fender. Along with this alteration, Hyper Edge comes with a detachable rear mud fender as seen in RTR 180. The bike has a sporty look Talking about the Apache RTR, it loaded with a 159.7cc engine which can develop a power of 15.2bhp at 8500 rpm and the apex torque of 13.1Nm at 6000 rpm. Engine of Apache RTR is not an overbore of Apache's 150cc engine. The bike has made a good image in the market by its superior performance. The upgraded version of the same is expected to give good results as well. TVS is a name which people rely blindly when it comes to performance. But certainly these days people expect a little more out of the upgraded version than a mere change in the look. The official launch will probably show the actual response of the users and the bike lovers. The official date for the launch and upgrading specification is yet not out.
