Terran Strategy - How to Counter Mass Stalkers and Colossi Effectively

The funny thing about playing protoss as terran is that usually terran players fally right into this strategy. The reason why is protoss players love to go mass stalkers as it is one of the most common builds. But they are not the greatest units facing the marine and marauder ball that terran players like to go for since it does particularly well against protoss.

So to counter the protoss goes for colossi to burn up several of your units at a time from the back. So if you find yourself falling for this build then you will need to transition as they have transitioned. How do you do it? Focus on massing up these three units which are...

and Vikings

Marauders are powerful against stalkers but not so good against colossi. But they do much better than marines as marines will burn up easily and they only do oaky against stalkers anyway. Marauders are powerful for a few reasons. You can get their two upgrades which are stim pack and concussive shells which are great if your opponent tries to retreat this upgrade will slow them down. Having some medivacs to heal them up works well too.

Then you have the siege tanks which are the best units to have when facing stalkers as they will be behind the marauders taking out several stalkers at a time with their long range and splash damage. They can even out range the colossi unless they have thermal lance.

Then you have vikings which are for sniping the colossi with their ranged air attack. The downside with colossi is that they can be attacked by anti air which makes them especially vulnerable against units like vikings, corruptors, and phoenix.

To go step ahead of these combat units you should also go for a raven or two. Ravens have a key ability against stalkers which is the point defense drone. When a raven shoot sone out between the two armies the shots by the stalkers will be intercepted so that they will not even hit your marauders out in front. But they only last for so long so be sure to have a few of them.

And if you want to go another step further you should also tech to train a few ghosts. They have a powerful ability against protoss units which is the EMP round. It takes down 100 hit points on surrounding protoss units. To sneak this technique in their be sure to research cloak so they will not see it coming until it is too late.

By going for this type of build and perfecting it you should have no problem taking down this type of army. Make sure to keep scouting your opponent to see what they are up to.
