I remember where I was, it was the on DART, The DART is Dublins train service, us commuters ride it everyday to work. Its always the same, get on, try not to look anybody in the eye for a half an hour and get off at work. Nine hours later the journey begins again.

This morning was different though, after my fifteenth shoulder I had enough and got off three stations before mine and realised I have had enough. Life should not be like this, doing things I do not want to do in order to make money to just get by. It was time to go back to the place I last felt alive Phuket Thailand in order to fight again. To fight Muay Thai.

I am a martial artist I always have been but lately I have been going soft, losing my edge. I need to regain the eye of the tiger and the only place for that is Tiger Muay Thai. The next day I organised flights to and accomodation at the camp. It was easy really just a call to my local Trailfinders and they took care of everything. Insurance wasnt a big deal either at just 75 euro the story was about to begin and will on April 1st.

The last time I was in Thailand was 2005 and I was just a kid I wonder how going back as somewhat of a man will have any difference on my feelings on or dedication to Muay Thai. I guess I will just have to wait and see. i know one thing, the fear will be gone, last time I was afriad my face would be ruined by one too many punches. This time I will be first in for a barnburner of a fight. Fitness will be an issue for the first week or so but after a bit of work and sleep i will settle in to my new routine.
