The AINO from Sony Ericsson - what is it? by:Simon Drew

The Sony Ericsson Aino is a recent mobile phone that is not only an intriguing design concept

, but due to that, it's also a phone that refuses to be pigeon-holed into typical categories for mobile phones.

Is it Touchscreen or just a slider?

Both. It is part a touchscreen phone, as the Aino becomes that when in multimedia mode. But it becomes a slider phone because you would need to use its keypads in other modes. It would seem that a dichotomy is made between its typical smartphone functions and its entertainment features. Is that necessary? Only Sony Ericsson's design wisdom can answer that.

The best of three worlds

It can't be categorized that easy. The Aino has features you'd expect from an office smartphone. But it also provides exquisite media entertainment features from both its Cybershot and Walkman phone cousins. Now does that sound like the Aino is 3 worlds in one?

It must be. It takes on where previous Sony Ericsson only attempted to do. But with the Aino departing from typical Sony Ericsson phones, your have a winner. The Aino has entertainment features that are second to none. It has the best features from its Cybershot phone cousins. It has high speed Internet and emailing features that only the best business phones have. Now don't they make the Aino the best mobile phone on the planet?

Cause to Celebrate
